We support Chromecast streaming on iOS devices running iOS 8 or higher. On a computer, you can also cast from FOX.com or FXNetworks.com using the Chrome Google Cast extension.
*Only on demand FX and National Geographic content can be casted to your TV. Live content on FX NOW and Nat Geo TV is not available for casting at this time.
To get it set up, first make sure your Chromecast is configured on the same network as your device. When you begin to play a video on your device, you should see a Chromecast icon appear. Just click on it, select your Chromecast device, and the video will begin to stream on your television. Your mobile device or your browser will serve as a remote control as long as you’re connected to the Chromecast. If you’re having trouble consistently establishing a Chromecast connection, we would first suggest performing a power cycle. Power down your device, and unplug the Chromecast from the wall, as well as your router and modem. After about 30 seconds, plug everything back in and try again.
We’d also recommend performing a speed test of your connection. On your device, visit the website SpeedOf.Me and click the “Start Test” button. Once the test is complete, you will see results for latency, download speed, and upload speed. We recommend a minimum download speed of at least 1.0 megabits per second (Mbps) while using streaming.
